Amcrest 1080P HD Over Analog (HDCVI) 8CH Video Security Syst 367 of 380 people found the following review helpfulComprehensive guide to buying a home video security system By PhotoGraphics TOP 100 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on February 2, 2015Size: 960HColor: 4 CH (500GB HD) DVR w/ 4 Bullets Before getting in to this review please note that the seller offers several different models at this page, all under the same heading. Therefore some of the reviews you read may be intended for a different model other than the one you are interested in. To be clear, this review is for the model AMDV960H4.A friend recently installed a very similar home video security system that is one of the most popular models being sold at the big membership warehouse club. I was able to compare this one feature-for-feature with that model, which sells for about the same price. Read on to learn what to look for when you are shopping for a video security system. In a consumer electronics industry where “bigger is better” is being pushed at us all the time, is that the case with a home security system? For example, do you really need HDTV cameras and a 3 TB hard drive? Do you want a completely wireless system? Which features are “must have” and which are gimmicks? Here are a few basics if this is your first video security system. These pointers are intended to help you choose the most basic and important features, you may want or need other options to suit your particular installation:1. Highest resolution - not a necessity, the higher the resolution the more hard disk space it takes and with some systems the more it will cause your smartphone to stutter or freeze. You are not producing a Hollywood movie; however you do need enough resolution to be able to identify intruders or license tags. The resolution of the camera sensor is not always an absolute indication of how sharp the picture will be, the optical lens also has a lot to do with it. The Amcrest has higher-than-average resolution and good optics.2.Read more › 23 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Panasonic DMW 9 of 9 people found the following review helpfulperfect! By Meg on December 8, 2011Size: 2 Batteries + Charger Verified Purchase works perfect with my Lumix GF3-K. instead of the light going from red to off to indicate full-charge, this one goes from red to green, which i also like. the batteries are the perfect fit for my camera, and last considerably longer than the stock battery; so, i keep one Wasabi battery charged and in my camera at all times, one spare, and my original as a back-up! i don’t think would ever run out of power! plus, the charger is pretty slim (the prongs fold-in) and fits into my camera bag, so if i have it i need it. and considering you get TWO batteries, plus the charger AND car adapter.. at the price, it is a pretty fantastic deal (since we all know that ONE battery from Panasonic directly can be close to $100!), and they work flawlessly! and YES, the battery life DOES display on-screen as normal, another bonus as most non-brand batteries are ‘locked’ or whatever it is, so for some reason the life does not show.. you just have to wing it! not with these, though. these work and are GREAT!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR KIT, beginners.. or, anybody!! probably can’t beat this price, at least with all aforementioned features. hope this helps!thanks, Wasabi Power! 1 Comment Was this review helpful to you? I’ve used Wasabi for years and they have never disappointed. These came with some charge already on them (I hope this doesn’t mean they were used sold as new) and took less than an hour to reach full charge. They work perfectly in the GX7, including showing the little bars indicating battery life. You can charge the original Panny battery in the Wasabi charger, and you can charge the Wasabi battery in the Panny charger. As noted by another reviewer, the Pann

I buy 2-3 items a week off Amazon and have never felt so compelled to say something. In short: This IP cam is near worthless, I will return.Long version, read on.1) Instructions are poorly translated, photos in the manual are clear but mean nothing because they don’t match the actual flow compared to the program they tell you to download.2) Operating program is worthless. If you follow the instructions and look at the Apple Store, the manufacturer has a couple programs. Both function in some way but they don’t look like the screenshots in the booklet and can’t find my wifi signal, or any for that matter, of the 20+ signals I see scattered throughout my neighborhood that can be detected on my iPad, PC’s, and wireless printers with ease.3) Program downloaded directly from the website, also recommended in the manual, still looks nothing like the manual photos and works worse than the Apple Store options.4) Any company that includes a card in the package stating they will pay a rebate of $25 to anyone who gives them a 5 star Amazon review should be avoided. If the product and/or service was worthy of this they wouldn’t need to pay people who purchased the product to say so.I will be contacting Amazon to recommend they remove this vendor from their marketplace. Amazon has said they are committed to providing reputable vendors. Product performance aside, any company that would make a direct attempt to pay buyers for 5 star ratings is corrupt and has no place in a civilized retail environment like Amazon. 6 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Optics Hunting Rifle Scope 6-24X50mm AOEG Red/Green 9 of 9 people found the following review helpfulIt’s not as good as I thought By RM on October 20, 2014 Verified Purchase Shipping was very fast. I think I received a bad scope as the eye relief was very finicky on my rifle (M1A w/EBR Stock). I also noticed that eye relief variations changed as you went up in magnification power. Which caused me to constantly move my head back and forth to get a consistent image through the eyepiece ( and rarely did). I returned and will look for a better scope. Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens for 4 of 4 people found the following review helpfulFactory Refurbished but….. By Deborah A Ritch on April 8, 2015 Verified Purchase Lens was “Certified Factory Refurbished”. Don’t know if that had anything to do with my problems or if it’s just a bad lens. I couldn’t get it to focus properly. Used auto-focus and had problems. Focused manually and had problems. It was hit or miss as to whether or not it would focus. I have a Tamron 70-200mm and just bought a Sigma 150-500mm. Both of these lenses are heavy (compared to the Nikon 55-300mm) yet I have no problems getting a clear, sharp photo using them hand-held. I have other lower end Nikon DX lenses and they’re great. So maybe this particular Nikon 55-300mm was just a bad one that slipped through the cracks. It’s a lower priced lens, so while it may not seem fair to compare it to my other lenses that cost 3x as much, this lens wouldn’t focus correctly at all, even on a tripod. Pretty confident that even though it was “refurbished” it was still defective. I’m currently shooting with a Nikon D5100. 2 Comments Was this review helpful to you? One of the only things that DSLRs are good for, in comparison to the 16MP smart phones of today, is the zoom feature and there are certain shots that you will never be able to get without a zoom. The way I look at it, these types of far seeing lenses are better than a pair of binoculars in most cases and you can also capture an excellent image of what you see at the same time! That is truly priceless, and nothing can replace the ability to take an image that would otherwise require you to be floating mid-air to get the same level of detail; maybe when jetpacks become available or quadcopter photography, but otherwise,

Mijares on February 28, 2015 Verified Purchase I’ve been using this lens for a week now and have no intention of taking it off my X-T1. It’s going to be my walk around lens. The photos are sharp and clear. Autofocus appears to be fast and quiet. Perhaps just a tad slower than my Canon 70D, but it’s barely noticeable. It’s also nice having an actual aperture ring on the lens. It is a tad heavy, but compared to other equivalent lenses (i.e. Canon 24-70L), it’s lighter. The lens is water resistant, which is a plus. Video shot with the lens looks pretty good, and autofocusing during the recording was fast enough, and also quiet. One really minor nitpick is that when you use the pop-up style flash that came with the X-T1, the lens hood casts a shadow at the bottom of the frame, especially when zoomed out to 16mm. Common problem with longer lenses, but easily remedied by temporarily removing the lens hood; this solves the problem. For the performance that this lens it gives, it’s well worth the price! If anything ever happened to this lens, would I get another one? Yeah, you betcha! (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? Vivitar VIV-VT-67 67-Inch Monopod : Camera & Photo 157 of 161 people found the following review helpfulAmazing Value! By Paul M. Provencher VINE VOICE on February 13, 2011 Verified Purchase It’s easy to spend a ton of money on a good monopod. And if you are sporting, for example, a Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L lens, you probably want to go for the industrial strength unit. But…This item is well built and provides enough support for large DSLR and even fairly large collared telephoto lenses (I use it with a Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM).The legs are slotted so they stay straight when you extend them. The clamps are sturdy and hold the legs tightly extended - I have never had them slip. The grip is comfortable and welcome on those days when you’re outside and it’s cold. The tip has an adjustable foot that provides either a rubber grip or pointed metal spike. There are a couple things I did to improve this already value-packed monopod though it is perfectly useful as-is.1. I added a small ball head. This enables me to adjust the angle of the camera - Manfrotto 494 Ball Head Replaces Manfrotto 4842. I put another c-clip and a swivel onto the strap so that it would not tangle. Only one is needed - this is an example of the type I used South Bend Interlock Swivels - Size 14 - 50 Pack3. Since I don’t use the metal spike and I spend a lot of time on the gym floor with this, I added a furniture leg tip to cover the spike and add a removable grip that I can replace when it wears out. It also keeps the spike covered so that I don’t damage the gym floor.Read more › 9 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. Yongnuo YN-560 II Speedlight Flash for Canon and Nikon. GN58 542 of 565 people found the following review helpfulComparison to YN560 (mk I), Canon 580EX II By MiRSD TOP 1000 REVIEWER on March 23, 2012Style Name: International WarrantyPackage Type: Standard Packaging Verified Purchase EDIT: A problem that I didn’t experience at first - while the LCD screen is bright and easy to read in most situations (looking straight at it), I found out that it’s not so easy to read from other angles. For example, if you put it on an umbrella swivel (for an umbrella, beauty dish, softbox, etc..) and have it angled it can be impossible to read. If tilted 90 degrees forward, it appears as if everything lights up on it (the LCD screen uses something similar to a digital alarm clock - so it looks like “1/188″ which allows the “88″ to light up certain parts to form different numbers. So it could be 1/1, 1/2.. 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128) Again, the problem is that at odd angles (like 90 degrees forward) it appears as “1/188″ instead of what the actual power is. On the other hand, tilting it 90 degrees backwards it will look blank.. so the viewing angle isn’t great and creates some readability issues. Another example is if it’s sitting lower to the ground and you’re looking at it from a standing height it will appear blank. You need to bend down and look at a better angle to see the actual power. This could be considered a big downfall for some and does show that there is an advantage to the original YN560’s LED system. For comparison, the Canon 580EXII does have a similar issue but not nearly as bad. Tilting it 90 degrees forward it is still easily readable.Over the last couple years, YONGNUO has made a name for themselves in the photography world. They’ve released some very nice, high quality alternatives to the “name brand” products out there as VERY nice prices. One of their better lines of items are their Speedlites (portable flashes).I own and use many of their Speedlites - the YN460, YN460-II, YN465, YN560 and now the YN560II.Read more › 31 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM AF Standard Zoom Lens for N 174 of 185 people found the following review helpfulExactly what I expected for the $$$ (and a little more) By Alaskan Photog on August 7, 2009Style Name: Nikon Digital SLR Cameras Verified Purchase I’m currently using a Nikon D90 but the D700 is on the horizon for me. This meant that I am not buying any DX lenses anymore. I have the Tokina 11-16, Nikkor 70-300 VR, Nikkor 50mm 1.8 and the D90 kit lens 18-105 VR (never been happy with the kit lens). So the only focal range I needed was basically 17-70 and the DX Nikkor 17-55 is out. The logical approach was the Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 but ugh… I’m not making $$$ from my shots yet and $1999 was a bit much to swallow. I rented the Nikkor and the Sigma to compare side by side and I really loved the Sigma’s compact but solid presence compared to the relatively big and long Nikkor (chalk up one point for the Sigma)… I took about 150 shots with both lenses and I really could not find too many differences… Certainly none that stood out. I’ll admit that I’m a bit of a pixel peeper and I was truly looking for the lesser priced lens to come up short but honestly only some very minor flare issues (shooting directly into the late evening sun) even showed up. On my crop framed D90 the sharpness was superb on both lenses, color, contrast and focusing accuracy and speed was exactly what I expected. VERY VERY good. One thing that added to the cost of the Sigma though (chalk up a point for Nikkor) is the 82mm filter size. They are not easy to find and are almost always more expensive (high quality Digital UV filter was $100). I now have my FX frame lens lineup set and I’m very happy with it as I purchased this lens right here at Amazon. Now… to save for that D700… *sigh*Moral of the story is… if you want to save $800 and have a lens that you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference from the venerable Nikkor… get this Sigma 24-70 2.8 HSM.Read more › (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? Duh.-You have to stand right in front of the camera (or at least place the remote in front of the camera if you’re not taking a selfie)-it DOES auto focus your camera based on your selected autofocus point-it DOES NOT have the “half press” button…once it’s pressed down, your camera will automatically focus on the focus point and take the picture in one sweep.Other things:It’s super cute and small and you can easily hide it in the palm of your hand. It’s plastic, but somewhat durable plastic (for the price, it’s still totally worth it)It comes with a cute little carrying pouch. Nice touch. You have to smile when taking a selfie or else your picture doesn’t turn out as nice. 3 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. It took a little while to figure out how to get the camera to recognize the remote. On the SL1 go to menu, look at the timer options and you’ll see an icon that shows a remote and a symbol that looks similar to a wifi signal symbol. Select that and it’s connected. 5 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. If this review is inappropriate, please let us know. Selfie Stick, iKross 40-inch Selfie Handheld Extendable Mon 10 of 10 people found the following review helpfulMassive and really useful By Bob Tobias #1 HALL OF FAMETOP 10 REVIEWER on April 12, 2015Color: Black In total, it’s 12″ long and about 2″ across. Now, I don’t know you and you don’t know me but if you think forearm (elbow to wrist) that’s probably not far off. It weighs about 5-1/4 ounces, less than two decks of cards. (I go with what I know.) In other words, it’s perhaps bigger than you might expect and pretty light for its size.It comes with a couple adapters. The first is straight forward and for GoPro and GoPro wannabe cameras. The second is a clamp designed for those new fangled cellular telephones. It expands from about 2-1/8″ to (depending on your upper body strength) 3″. That’s enough for: - An iPhone 4/5 possibly including your case - An iPhone 6 probably not with your case - An iPhone 6+ just barely and definitely without a case. All of those are with the phone in landscape mode. If you want to capture images in portrait mode there are a number of options that allow you to position your phone properly. However, the clamp will still be along the sides of your device. This tripod compares in many ways to the Joby GP2-D1EN GorillaPod Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras with Bubble Level. In particular, the iKross tripod: - It’s about the same weight. - The legs are longer giving more options for stabilization. - Its half the price. - The legs are covered with a grippy, sponge-like material. That has allowed me to wrap it securely around tree branches, street signs, and the like to grab shots that would otherwise be impossible. - The ball head locks firmly in place.Read more › 1 Comment Was this review helpful to you? Polaroid OneStep SX-70 White/Rainbow Camera : Instant Film C 61 of 67 people found the following review helpfulGreat camera. By S. St Pierre on May 6, 2012 Impossible PX 70 Color Shade for SX-70 camera (PRD_1171) <~~film readily available from Amazon. Tired of people saying you can’t buy film for their sx70’s or 600’s. I’ve heard too many stories of people throwing away or recycling these great cameras because they think they’re useless. Buy some instant film from Impossible, the only folks making it for this camera, and start shooting amazing pictures again. Now that that’s out of the way. I love my SX-70 one-step. I have the matching Q-Light and besides my shots coming out great, it’s the coolest camera on my shelf. It might as well have “HugMe” printed in italicized Helvetica as well. 7 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. Browning Trail Camera - Dark Ops : Camera & Photo 41 of 41 people found the following review helpfulUpgraded Version of the Highest Rated Trail Cam on the Market for 2014 By Gravity’s Gone on March 11, 2015 When I first starting researching buying some new trail cams, I was a bit skeptical of Browning, since it seemed like a situation where a well-known company was sticking their name on something outside their area of expertise – but it turns out these very well may be the best trail cameras on the market. Browning has two cameras in their sub-micro series currently, the Strike Force & the Dark Ops. The Browning Strike Force was the highest rated trail cam for 2014, as it essentially changed the market and price points for trail cams, with a debut at $150 and features only available at the time in the $300 price point with other manufacturers. I initially purchased the Browning Strike Force model since it was at the top of the rankings, and I was so pleased with its performance that I eventually purchased the Dark Ops model, as well. I have been just as pleased with the Dark Ops model as I was with the Strike Force, as both models have identical features with the exception of the flash (Strike Force is a visible IR flash and Dark Ops is dark IR flash). (More on the specifics regarding the differences between IR & dark IR flash technology later in the review). The bottom line is the next trail camera I purchase will be another Browning Dark Ops.Dark Ops – The Good:1. Terrific Daytime Picture Quality – 10MP2. Terrific Battery Efficiency (even in video mode)3. Dark IR - No visible flash to alert nearby humans of the camera’s presence4. Good Night Quality (Black & White) & Good Flash Range (Comparable to Strike Force)4. Great Versatility & Options – The burst mode and timing adjustability are very handy5. Lightning Fast Trigger Speed6. Great Detection Range7. Display for Battery Life & Remaining Photo Memory8.Read more › 9 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Smatree?? 1290mAh Replacement battery (3-Pack) + 3-Channel 55 of 57 people found the following review helpfulSmatree has excellent customer service and they are very easy to work … By Mason on November 8, 2014Size: 2xBattery + 3-Channel Charger + USB Cord Verified Purchase This was my first time using any Smatree product and I will definitely be recommending there products to friends.First off, I have a GoPro4 Black edition and the GoPro LCD BacPac.I tested these batteries with and without the BacPac against GoPro’s battery that came with the GoPro.Let me first start off by saying, Smatree has excellent customer service and they are very easy to work with.I read a prior review saying only one of the batteries worked. This wasn’t the case with the ones I received as both have been working without any issues.Pros:1. Can charge 3 batteries at once using the 3 Channel Charger.2. The charger itself is small and fits perfect in my case with all other accessories.3. Each channel on the charger has a light indicator (green means fully charged and red means charging) so it’s easy to tell when your batteries are ready to go.4. Cost!! Way less expensive compared to the GoPro’s Rechargeable battery. You get two batteries from Smatree with a USB cord and 3 Channel Charger for the same exact price as one GoPro Rechargeable battery! It’s a no brainer, 2 batteries > 1 battery.5. Battery life met my expectations with and without the LCD BacPac.The batteries lasted between 45 and 60 minutes shooting 4K at 30FPS without turning the camera on/off.I didn’t notice a real difference between the GoPro and Smatree version.Cons:1. Charger is made out of plastic and seems very light and could break.Note: I don’t anticipate the charger breaking, but I’m thinking from the perspective of someone that has pets or children that could knock the charger off whatever surface it’s standing on.2. Batteries seem a little warmer after use compared to GoPro’s battery.Read more › (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? Lorex LW2731 Live LCD SD Recording Monitor with Wireless Cam 262 of 272 people found the following review helpfulGreat for carport surveillance! By Petite1 on June 9, 2013Style Name: With 1 Wireless Camera Verified Purchase I purchased this product because I was looking for a relatively low cost surveillance system to keep an eye on my downstairs carport in my condo complex. The challenge was that the condo rules do note allow me to mount anything on the out side of the building. With a little creativity on the application side, this product worked out perfectly. The camera is relatively small in size which was perfect. I was able to mount it on the window sill of my upstairs bedroom and leave the window cracked open so the night video recording was not distorted. I removed a small piece of the window screen so the camera had a clear view, and the system works like a champ! Very easy to set up with the wireless application. I had the remote viewing feature via Skype working in a matter of minutes from my IPAD and iPhone. I am a single female with intermediate tech skills and this system was very easy to install. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a low cost high quality surveillance system. 6 Comments Was this review helpful to you? B+W 67mm Kaesemann Circular Polarizer with Multi-Resistant C 183 of 188 people found the following review helpfulPricey But Worth Every Penny By MyBeesWax TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on August 18, 2010Size: 77 mm Verified Purchase I got the B+W 58mm Circular Polarizer MRC Filter a few months ago. I was so pleased with the results that when I got my Canon 17-55mm lens, I opted to go with a B+W again — and B+W did not disappoint. This Käsemann filter works as claimed; it increases color saturation and reduces (and in some cases completely eliminates) reflection. This filter is a marvel of engineering. The build quality is simply top-notch (the filter is Made in Germany). This Filter vs A Non-Käsemann Filter————————————I debated between this filter and the other B+W filter, the B+W 77mm Circular Polarizer MRC Filter. According to B+W (Schneider Optics), the Käsemann uses the same MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) technology, but it’s one-up on the non-Käsemann filter because it uses “high-end” polarizing foils. To quote Schneider Optics:”The “high-end” polarizing foils of the Käsemann-type filters are neutral in color, they have a higher efficiency than conventional polarizing foils and they are cemented between high-grade plano-parallel optical glass.”Another advantage the Käsemann filter has over the non-Käsemann filter is that it is edge-sealed to protect the polarizing foil from humidity.Read more › (window.AmazonUIPageJS ? Bushnell AR Optics Drop Zone-223 BDC Reticle Riflescope wit 54 of 57 people found the following review helpfulNice scope for the price By 1991SharpshooterZ28 on October 25, 2013Size: 3-12×40mm I got this scope on my del ton (i uploaded pics on here) and its a really good scope for the price. If i could do it again i would get the 3-9×40 because 12 power is a bit much and sometimes if its not really bright out its not super clear past 9x. It holds a zero and is very solid feeling but it really weighs down my rifle, i tried the 1-4×24x ar optics and hated it, the adjustable parallax made a huge difference for me. I give this scope 4.5 stars and if you are putting it on a 16″ carbine i might take a look at a 2-7 burris fullfield e1 unless you dont care about the weight. and the only thing about this scope that i found to be sort of wrong was the turrents dont click as solid on this one like the 1-4×24 but they stay in place so i dont really care and the eye relief, it is about 1/2″ to long, i dont shoot with my nose on the charging handle like alot of guys and its mounted on the 2nd to last rail to the front, that might be an issues if you shoot with your nose on the charging handle. otherwise its a good scope. Prism Backdrops by Ravelli 10×20′ (9×18′ after pre-s 56 of 57 people found the following review helpfulSuprising - give it a chance By AmazonJavaJunki TOP 100 REVIEWER on December 29, 2008 Verified Purchase I ordered this 10×20 back drop along with another white one and a stand. There was a problem with the stand which originally took some time to sort through but they made it right. The stand and both backdrops arrived promptly. The backdrop was shipped in its own role rather than folded or requiring ironing or other fuss…a very nice touch! I was a bit hesitant at first especially in relation to the thickness of this muslin. While it IS muslin and NOT gauze like many of the super inexpensive versions being sold on Ebay or even here on Amazon, it isn’t super thick so I was worried about opacity and unfiromity of coverage. For the price, I figured I’d have to make due and fix in Photoshop….happily that was NOT the case. The muslin performed well and looked very nice in the photos. The black came out a nice deep black and ditto for the white. Not grey, not yellow…black and white as each was supposed to be. The sizing is slightly smaller than 10×20 as mentioned in the item description but the muslin is of a decent enough quality it should wear well. Although originally hesitant and somewhat taken aback by the issue with the stand, this seller followed through and made everything “right”. Nice price, nice seller, nice photos with this and the other white backdrop. Thanks! 2 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Sending feedback… Thank you for your feedback. These batteries have turned out to be a great choice, they have the exact same amount of mAh juice as the Nikon battery (1,200mAh) which came with the camera and save you about $25-30 more than what you would have gotten from Nikon, Best Buy, Wal-fart, etc! These batteries can hold a charge and charge for just as long as the Nikon branded battery. These are overall a great buy and really a no-brainer, their great value, have a 1-year warranty and there’s 2!! As a amateur photographer, dork for electronics, back up batteries and toasters, I would definitely recommend these batteries anyone who’s looking to buy! Thanks! Celestron 31042 AstroMaster 114 EQ Reflector Telescope : Ref 115 of 117 people found the following review helpfulNot Too Shabby (4 1/2 stars) By DapperFatty on March 3, 2012 This telescope is great but daunting. This is my first telescope. It was very easy to assemble, and the instructions are very simple to follow. it is also very light weight and pretty compact making it easy to travel with. I live in Mesa, AZ and there are a few mountains around here that I can hike up, and taking this with me is no trouble at all. Red Dot Scope: The Red Dot Scope has proven itself pretty much useless. I cannot tell where i’m supposed to put my head in order to have it lined up with the view of the scope itself. it is slightly adjustable, but I have not been able to line it up with what I see in the scope. Because of this i usually find myself just pointing the red dot at an object and then moving the scope in mini circles while looking through the eye piece. *(Tip: if you are looking for a bright object you can pull the eyepiece all the way out of focus. This will make the object look like a big bright disc with a cross in it. When you see this disc you can start focusing while adjusting the angle of the scope. It makes the hunt sooo much easier. Do not use this method with the moon. It’s just too big.)* Balancing: You cannot perfectly balance this scope. Because of the aesthetics on the scope i cannot center the scope in the rings where it will be perfectly balanced, however i have not tried mounting the scope just off center of it’s bracket to change the position of its axis of rotation. At the same time i feel that i shouldn’t have to. Since i cannot perfectly balance the scope i find at certain extreme angles the scope will rotate on its own, however because of the method i use to find objects with this scope that balance issue does not really affect me since i’ll be holding the scope the entire time until i lock it in.Read more › 7 Comments Was this review helpful to you? Fotodiox 5′x7′ Collapsible Chromakey Green + Blue 2- 15 of 15 people found the following review helpfulGreat Product with GREAT Service! By Nancy Latulipe on January 10, 2012 Verified Purchase I ordered this for Christmas, and when it came in, the envelope was all bent up. This was by no doubt a fault from USPS shipping, so don’t think this was their fault. I opened it up, and it was broken. The actual collapsible part had been shattered in shipping. I was very angry, so I shot them an email over at fotodiox. With no hesitation, they send me a brand new one, and I didn’t even have to return the broken one. That right there is GREAT customer service! I will certaintly buy more fotodiox products, since they’re pretty high quality. And yes, this greenscreen/bluescreen does NOT reflect light, and is a very luminate green/blue, giving you an AMAZING key. Comment Was this review helpful to you? I also bought the Lasolite 3355 stand and the CowboyStudio Photography/Video 3-light kit with umbrellas (check my other reviews.) For under $300, I have a quasi-professional green screen studio for our corporate videos.Adding a light kit is imperative to get the best green screen effect. Once I added the lights, the green screen dropped right out using iMovie. Easy to replace with another background and look like a professional video/photo. I’ve been using the green side; have not tried the blue side.Even without the light kit, I have very little light bleeding through the material. I have a huge window behind my desk and even with blinds open, very little light bleeds through. The added stand mentioned above puts the backdrop at just the right height for a seated subject, or you can also use vertically for a standing one.I later bought the Studio Hut 5 x 7 brown/grey background (also left review for that.) That one is great for headshot photos, video conferences, etc.As far as folding it, yes, the YouTube videos help. But it’s really not hard once you get it the first time. I

Nikon D610 24.3 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Kit with 28-30 246 of 281 people found the following review helpfulStunning Images, Great Camera - the Camera that D600 Should Have Been By Sterling G. Wells on November 2, 2013Style Name: Body OnlyConfiguration: Base Edit for clarity: I do actually own the D610.Nikon has finally got it right with the D610 - it is truly a fantastic camera, and that’s quite a statement coming from a former D600 owner like myself. The D600 was an absolute debacle; after 2 replacements I still had massive dust and oil problems. I strongly disagree with the way Nikon “handled” the D600 problem, but people should know that the D610 is truly a fantastic camera. I was motivated to write this review after I saw numerous people writing poor reviews of the D610 based on their disapproval of Nikon’s actions.I don’t think it’s fair to criticize the D610 based on the shortcomings of its predecessor, so I wanted to take the time to say that all of the problems I had with the D600 seem to have been solved with this camera. My D610 produces absolutely fantastic images and there hasn’t been a hint of the dust or oil problems that plagued the D600.For detailed analysis of this camera and its image quality, check out DXOmark.com; they do a much better job of objectively reviewing cameras than I can. But in my opinion the D610 is an excellent camera. I highly recommend it. (window.AmazonUIPageJS ?
